cathodic protection for marine

Marine Services

Corrpro Companies Europe Ltd, formally Wilson Walton International, has led the world in the field of Corrosion Protection for seagoing vessels and antifouling solutions for ship internal pipework for over 45 years. Corrpro have supplied CP materials, installations & services to over 1,500 vessels worldwide.

Providing corrosion protection solutions utilising:

  • Aloline® and Zincoline galvanic (sacrificial) anodes
  • Aquamatic® Impressed Current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) systems
  • Remote Monitoring Capability
  • Shaft Grounding & Monitoring

Aquamatic® is an Impressed current Cathodic Protection (ICCP) system incorporating the latest electronic technology, comprising of a power control unit (utilising the latest six pulse technology), several anodes and reference electrodes.

Each system is designed to suit the particular requirements of the vessel and its operating environment, which allow for the fluctuations in protection current demand likely to be encountered during service. For further details select the Aquamatic data sheet on the right hand side of the page.

Antifouling, Marine Growth Prevention Systems:

  • Anfomatic® antifouling and corrosion mitigation systems

Bio-fouling within pipelines and heat exchangers is a major problem in ships, offshore platforms and refineries causing a reduction in flow rates and reducing effectiveness and efficiency.

To avoid the high cost of cleaning or using expensive chemicals or chlorination, Corrpro has developed an environmentally friendly, low cost system using cupric ion dissolution. The system can be retrofitted close to the seawater intakes or pumps that deliver water for cooling and fire safety protection.

Over 1500 ships, rigs and platforms have been fitted out with this low maintenance, easily understood system.

Hull & Tank Protection:

  • Aloline® and Zincoline hull & tank anodes are supplied worldwide
  • Aluminium and Zinc anodes protect steel hulls, tanks and other submerged metallic structures and are cast at our UK foundry in Stockton On Tees

Aloline® and Zincoline hull and tank anodes can be supplied worldwide. Utilising the principle of sacrificial galvanic Cathodic Protection first pioneered in the 1800’s by Sir Humphry Davy. Corrpro can design, manufacture and supply a variety of anodes and multiple configurations including bespoke design to meet any customer requirements. Quality records are maintained and all anodes can be supplied with material test certificates. Data sheets can be selected from the product list on the right hand side of the page.

Servicing & Replacement Parts:  Worldwide ICCP and Antifouling Services The reliability of Aquamatic® and Anfomatic® systems is well proven. However for optimum performance we recommend that all installations are serviced on a routine basis before or during dry docking. Our worldwide network of trained service engineers and technicians can offer advice on the operation of Corrpro equipment to ensure that they provide the maximum level of protection for your vessel. A full report including the results, discussions and recommendations are provided upon completion of the service.
